My name is Lukas Rudari and I am a second year Ph.D. Candidate at Purdue University - Polytechnic Institute, specializing in sustainability aspects of the aviation industry.
I am originally from Vienna, Austria. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and my Master of Science degree in Aerospace and Aviation Management from Purdue University.
The craziest aviation-related thing I have ever done?
Traveling around the world in seven days; my routing was VIE-LHR-SIN-SYD-AKL-LAX-LHR-VIE. Don't ask how much time I spent on planes.
My favorite aircraft?
I am split between the 747-400, which I still consider to be the queen of the skies and the A380-800, which is so quiet you have to look outside to make sure you're actually flying.
Why am I the 'Aviationguru' ?
I have worked in various functions at Frankfurt International Airport, Lufthansa AG, SWISS International Air Lines and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Furthermore, I was involved in projects with United Airlines and Flight Safety Foundation.
This experience both in the United States and internationally has helped me to understand some of the complex mechanisms governing the aviation industry.
